I have the build order and carefully checked it, it was not dealers fault.

I recently replaced the block on my 2002 malibu 5.7l indmar engine. We used the original manifold only to find a leak between the manifold and block which made the oil milky. There is an PFI intake on the market that will work with the 3 bolt throttle body and is sold by a few folks online. It is Indmar 532203MODE. This intake is made for a 4 bolt throttle body, but there are adapter plates readily available which can convert the between the 3 bolt throttle body and 4 bolt intake which allows you to use the existing throttle body, fuel rails and mechanical throttle cable. Be very careful to buy the adapter plate in the correct orientation. There are plates for 3 bolt throttle bodies and 4 bolt intakes and 3 bolt intakes and 4 bolt throttle bodies that look almost identical, you need the plate with 4 recessed holes so the throttle body can sit flush on the plate after it is bolted to the throttle body. The links for the products I used are below:

This thread is a couple years old, but that is a great find. This may save a whole bunch of folks with similar series engines a lot of grief and money.
